How it Works?

  • Sign-up to Local Postal and then shop as usual on your favorite website.
  • When checking out, go to the Local Postal website and click on the map. Choose your desired Local Postal, click the 'Deliver Here' button, and then copy that Local Postal's address as your shipping address on your checkout page, and Local Postal know about the package by pressing the deliver here button.
  • When your package arrives at the Local Postal, we'll let you know by sending you a email with a unique code. Make sure you keep this email as you'll need the unique code in order to collect your package.
  • You can go pick up your package whenever it suits you during that Local Postal's business hours.
  • Remember, bring your email or have your app ready, as we will need to scan your unique code as a security check.
  • If you can't pick up your package, don't worry, just forward the email with unique code to the person who is picking up the pack- age.
  • And, if you are just sending a package via a courier company, simply insert your desired Local Postal as the shipping address and let us know it's on the way by clicking the 'Deliver Here' button. Make sure you forward the email to the receiver of the package for collection.

PRICING & PACKAGING SIZES

  • Regular packages up to 50 linear inches are $2.99
  • Large packages that are between 50 - 80 linear inches are $5.99
  • Local Postal does not accept packages over 80 linear inches
  • Please note, the Local Postal will determine the package size and pricing at the time of hand-over. Their determination is final.
  • A linear inch is length + breadth + width

Extended stay

  • Your package can stay at a Local Postal for 14 days from the date of delivery.
  • For every additional day after 14 days, you will be charged $1 a day for regular, and $2 a day for Large packages. This will be charged to your credit card. The Local Postal will hold your package for an additional 10 days. If after this period (24 days from the date of delivery) we have not heard from you, your chosen Local Postal will determine what to do with the package i.e., keep, donate, dispose.
  • We are always just an email away, so please let us know if there are any issues. Our goal is to always make sure you get your package.
